Treasure find

Take a photo,
find out what you have.

A find from the cellar, an inheritance or a flea market? OWNY recognises what it is, reads maker's marks, hallmarks or signatures where they show, and gives a value range as orientation.

  2. 2 OWNY takes a look The image recognition looks at shape, material and details and reads hallmarks, maker's marks or signatures where they show.
  3. 3 Result with a value range What it is, who made it, from which period, plus a value range as orientation. No appraisal and no buying price.
  4. 4 Into your collection You check photo and result and keep them as an object, then add provenance, receipts and story.

Coins from the drawer

2-euro coins and Deutsche Mark: what is rare?

Honestly, first: almost every 2-euro and Deutsche Mark coin is worth exactly its face value. A few features give the exceptions away — and OWNY checks them for you from the photo.

Rare 2-euro coins Sought after are mostly coins from small states with small mintages — Monaco, the Vatican, San Marino, Andorra — and mis-strikes. OWNY reads country, year and motif from the photo.
Deutsche Mark coins with silver 5-mark pieces up to 1974 and the 10-mark commemoratives contain silver: 7 g to just over 14 g fine. What that comes to at today's price, the gold and silver calculator works out.
Year and mint mark With Deutsche Mark coins, year and mint mark (A, D, F, G, J) often decide: some combinations are far rarer than others. OWNY reads both and gives a range as orientation.
And then?

Frequently asked questions

How reliable is the value?

It is an automatically produced, non-binding orientation value: not an appraisal, not an authentication and not a buying price. Where a single figure would mislead, OWNY shows a range. For valuable pieces an appraisal is worth it.

What happens to my photo?

For the free scan on this page we send it to an AI service (Google AI API) for the recognition; it is not stored. Until you register, it stays in your browser only. In OWNAMIC we keep it in your account.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes, once: OWNY captures one photo without registration and shows you how many pieces are on it, what they are called and the range of their non-binding orientation values – without market research yet. The details, the market research and further photos come after registering: free for 14 days without payment details; afterwards you identify finds within your plan.

Automatically produced, non-binding orientation values (AI-generated). Not an appraisal, not an authentication and not a buying price; the price actually achievable may differ.

OWNAMIC as an app

Add OWNAMIC to your Home Screen

iPhone and iPad have no install dialog – Apple leaves it to Safari's share menu. Three taps and OWNAMIC opens like any other app: full screen, with its own icon.

  1. Tap the share icon in Safari's bottom bar.
  2. Scroll down the list and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
  3. Confirm with “Add” – OWNAMIC is now on your Home Screen.

Only Safari can put a web app on the iOS Home Screen. If you are reading this in another browser, open ownamic.com in Safari first.
